Abstract:
In the paper, the power flow relationship of doubly fed induction generator(DFIG)wind turbines during grid voltage fault,load-shedding control principle and factors affecting load-shedding capacity are analyzed, and then a combined fault ride through(FRT)scheme for DFIG wind turbines based on load-shedding is proposed, which includes:1)a load-shedding control strategy based on real-time stator current tracking;2)a DC-link chopper circuit. The former mainly restrains the rotor over-current of the DFIG,and the latter mainly stabilizes the DC bus voltage. Finally, based on the simulation software, the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed scheme has been demonstrated through simulation cases. The simulation results showed that it can help DFIG wind turbines successfully ride through symmetrical voltage faults.
