Abstract:
Firstly, different catalyst addition(NaOH),KOH,Ca(OH)2,Mg(OH)2)on biochar combustion process and combustion reaction rate of biochar was investigated. The activation energy and pre-exponential factor were obtained with Coats-Redfern model. The results showed that alkali metal/alkaline earth metals addition promoted the combustion reaction of biochar and shifted the combustion to lower temperature with high mass velocity, and the catalytic effect of alkali metal Na and K is significantly higher than that of alkaline earth metals Ca and Mg;the O2 mechanism under the reaction series model is more in line with the combustion of biochar. The addition of NaOH and KOH significantly reduced the activation energy of the combustion reaction, which was beneficial to the rapid reaction and burnout of the biochar, while no obvious change showed for the addition of Ca(OH)2 and Mg(OH)2 addition.
