Abstract:
Taking NREL Phase VI wind turbine as the research object,the aerodynamic parameter correction of airfoil considering the blade three-dimensional(3 D)effect is studied at low Reynolds number. The existing correction models of Snel,Lindenburg,Du & Selig and Chaviaropoulos & Hansen are compared and verified by 3 D CFD numerical simulation and 2 D airfoil wind tunnel experiment. The results show that the correction effect is obviously different. The Du & Selig formula is the best,but it has a large correction error at the blade tip and root. Besides,with the decrease of the tip speed ratio,the consistency area between the blade correction value and the 3 D CFD results decreases. Especially,the correction is not suitable for the case of negative angle of attack.
