Abstract:
Since a single-section insulated capacitive voltage transformer(CVT)consists of two capacitors in series enclosed in a porcelain bushing,the insulation resistance test requires the removal of a bulky primary lead from a height. The insulation resistance test needs to be removed from a height and the bulky primary lead should be removed.During the insulation resistance test,the disassembly time of the lead accounts for 82.3% of the total test time. In this paper,a method is proposed to test the insulation resistance of singlesection CVT without removing the high-voltage lead. After field comparison,the test method is proved accurate and reliable,which can significantly improve the test efficiency of CVT insulation resistance test.
