Abstract:
Optical fiber composite overhead ground wire(OPGW) optical cable as a special power cable with both communication and ground functions is widely used in power grid engineering. At present,OPGW optical cable is preferred as the communication line optical cable in the new construction of 110 kV power grid transmission line project. As OPGW is different from the all-dielectric self-supporting optical cable(ADSS)widely used before,its electrical and mechanical properties and other aspects should be considered in the engineering design to ensure the safety and reliability during construction and after operation. Based on this,the application of OPGW cable wire in 110 kV overhead transmission line is described from the selection principle,thermal stability calculation,sag characteristics,length calculation and three-point grounding and it is hoped that it can provide certain reference for engineering design.
