Abstract:
The inpatients with respiratory disease were stratified by age based on the data of medical insurance hospitalized cases from Funan county in Anhui province of Eastern China and Jinping county in Guizhou province of Western China between 2015 and 2016.The distribution of hospitalizations in different age groups and the regional differences were analyzed by using the descriptive research method and correlation analysis method. The results showed that:(1)Both counties showed a high incidence of respiratory diseases under the age of 9,and a low hospitalization rate of respiratory diseases among people aged 20 to 39.(2)The peak of respiratory disease hospitalizations in the two counties primarily appeared in February to March(the Beginning of Spring to the Tomb Sweeping Day,the 10th pentad to the 20th pentad) and November to December(Great Snow to the Winter Solstice).Except for a few groups, the two counties had fewer people went to hospital for respiratory diseases in summer and autumn.(3)Increased hospital-admission risk for respiratory diseases among people between the ages of 50-59 in Funan county was associated with an increase in daily temperature range and a decrease in relative humidity during the same period, which also presented a lag effect of about 5 days.(4)On the whole, the dry and cold climate conditions may cause an increase in residents went to hospital. In addition, residents of Jinping county have to take extra precautions against respiratory health hazards caused by the lower temperature and higher humidity in spring,as well as the lower daily temperature range in the warm season.
