Abstract:
This study selected daily precipitation data, geographic information data, and socio-economic data in 34 meteorological stations from 2010 to 2019 in Xinyuan county,Xinjiang.Utilizing normalization and GIS methods, coupled with an assessment of disaster risk factors, environmental sensitivity, and and vulnerability of affected populations,a comprehensive 5-level risk zoning map for rainstorm and flood disasters in Xinyuan county was developed. The findings reveal an "east-north" distribution trend of rainstorm and flood disaster risk in Xinyuan county.Turgun township,Turgun farm,Agheletobe township,Kansu township, and Narati township are identified as high-risk areas for flooding.Additionally, significant portions of Ageletobe,Kansu, and Narati towns, along with the 71st and 72nd Regiments, fall within the second-highest risk zone. The central and eastern regions of Xinyuan county are categorized as medium-risk areas, while the remainder exhibit sub-low and low risk areas.
