Abstract: The accelerated high-quality development of meteorological service for tourism in Qingdao is essential to ensure safe travels in Qingdao,to build Qingdao as an international tourism destination,and to facilitate sound development of the tourism industry.This paper,with in-depth research in each part of the tourism industry in Qingdao,analyzes the current situation,specific demand and the context facing local meteorological tourism service,and discusses strategies for high-quality development during the period of the "14th Five-Year Plan".With distinctive mountains,coasts and city tourism,the tourism industry in Qingdao is highly dependent on distinctive,exclusive,precise,targeted and digitalized meteorological service in a large scale.During the period of the "14th Five-Year Plan",the priority is to focus on upgrade of the tourism-related meteorology observation network,promotion of tourism-related meteorology risk warning service,improvement of the warning and emergency response mechanism,implementation of customized tourism-related meteorological service,and capacity building of digitalized meteorological service for tourism.
