Abstract:
The differential protection technology in the protection of distribution networks has become mature.The differential protection service is mainly undertaken by power fiber optic private network, which is expensive to lay and can easily be damaged by external forces. Therefore, the paper proposes a technical scheme of using 5G wireless networks of two mobile communication operators to take the place of dedicated power fiber networks; moreover, it tests the service reliability and network performance by constructing a 5G redundant dual-channel test and verification environment. The test results verify the feasibility of 5G redundant dual-channel communication technology applied to differential protection of distribution network. The scheme provides a data reference and experience for the application of 5G wireless network in differential protection of distribution network in the future.
