Abstract:
To safeguard against maintenance personnel inadvertently accessing the operational bays, it is essential to place red warning banners on the cabinets adjacent to the secondary cabinets scheduled for repair.Yet, this approach grapples with issues like inefficient banner deployment and their tendency to fall off due to weak adhesion. To address these challenges, a cloud-based remote deployment and monitoring system for secondary cabinets in substations is proposed. This system is designed with a comprehensive architecture, an electrically controlled deployment terminal, handheld terminal control software, and a cloud-based server. It enables the remote one-click setup, removal, and real-time status monitoring of red warning banners of the secondary cabinets.Field tests conducted at various substations confirm the system’s ability to significantly improve the efficiency of the warning banner deployment, provide real-time status updates, and enhance overall site safety during maintenance operations.
