Abstract:
Based on ERA-5 reanalysis data from 2020 to 2022 and the complete annual data of 8 anemometer towers, this paper makes a statistical analysis of the natural conditions such as wind speed and temperature in four major deserts of Inner Mongolia. The results show that the four deserts have abundant wind resources, which is suitable for the development of wind power, and the design conditions of wind turbines can meet the turbulence and extreme temperature environment in the four deserts. Taking five wind turbine models in the current wind power market as an example, the power generation, static investment and internal rate of return of different schemes in the large base projects in desert areas are analyzed and discussed, and the economic differences of each model are qualitatively compared. The results indicate that the wind turbine models with longer impeller and larger capacity are more suitable in line with the high economic market demand.
