Abstract:
With the in-depth implementation of the dual-carbon strategy, the construction of new power systems mainly based on new energy has accelerated. The proportion of new energy generation has been increasing. The characteristics of randomness, intermittent and fluctuation have posed significant challenge to the long-term electric power and energy balance problems of the power system. In response to the above issues, the advantages and current development status of hydrogen energy are introduced. As a large-scale and long time-scale energy storage technology, hydrogen energy can help solve the long-term electric power and energy balance problem of the new power system. This paper highlights on the electric-hydrogen fusion technology, summarizes the balance problem and solution of long-term electric power and energy, and proposes a technological concept applicable to the Inner Mongolia Power Grid for solving the long-term electric power and energy balance problem of new energy hydrogen production, hydrogen gas turbine and interruptible load. The advantages of the technological concept in economic feasibility, resource reuse, safety support, cross energy storage and development prospects are analyzed, as well as the urgent problems such as high cost, poor safety, and insufficient large capacity storage and transportation capacity. Finally, suggestions and prospects for the future development of electric hydrogen integration are put forward.
