With the increasing capacity of wind power, the green and economic recycling utilization method of retired wind turbine blades has become a difficult problem to be solved in the global wind power industry. This paper systematically describes the scale of retired turbine blades and the development trend of composite materials used for wind turbine blades, analyzes the existing methods and progress of recycling wind turbine blades such as physical method, physical chemical method, chemical recycling method, et al. It is suggested to formulate relevant standards and policies for the recycling of retired turbine blades, and at the same time, it is necessary to promote the coordinated development of multiple industries, and pay attention to technical research and development, so as to achieve green recycling of retired wind turbine blades.
