Crutch-Type Quick Connector for Live-Line Jumper Installation on 0.4 kV Distribution Boxes

To meet the technical requirements for temporary live-line jumper installation on 0.4 kV distribution boxes, this paper presents a crutch-type quick connector and its application method. The proposed tool enables operators to establish electrical connections between low-voltage cables and distribution cabinets by means of hooking while maintaining safe working distances. The connector utilizes a watchband-style spring finger contact structure, enabling it to satisfy current-carrying capacity requirements while achieving rapid mechanical connection.
