Design of a Contactless and Convenient Operation and Maintenance Service for FTU Based on Bluetooth Communication

  • The feeder terminal FTU of the distribution network dispatch automation system is generally installed on the power pole, and operations including setting modification and fault information viewing require operation and maintenance personnel to climb up the ladder and pole through wired methods, which entails safety risks and is inefficient. In response to this issue, this article proposes an intelligent terminal solution for contactless operation and maintenance based on Bluetooth communication with enhanced security, with the prototype being piloted and applied in a certain city bureau. Test results show that the wireless communication of the terminal is reliable and stable, with simple and fast operation and maintenance, significantly reducing security risks and improving operation and maintenance efficiency.
