Abstract: This paper introduces the monitoring system, relay protection, communication network and information interaction status in intelligent substations. Then, the problems of secondary equipment in intelligent substation is analyzed, such as reliability reduction, repeated data collection, low degree of information sharing and complex operation and inspection. Then, the technical principles of secondary system optimization in intelligent substation are proposed and compared. Finally, it is emphasized that top-level design optimization is not only through technology, but also from management.
