Abstract: The core of medium and long-term market of Hunan electric power is the design of monthly balance mechanism, which fully follows the basic rules of the and uses the concept of Nordic balance mechanism for reference to realize monthly clearing and monthly settlement. This paper analyzes the basic principle of power balance mechanism and Nordic power balance mechanism, studies the effectiveness and problems of Hunan power market monthly balance mechanism, and provides useful reference for the construction of Hunan power spot market.
