Abstract:
In order to better realize the cooperative operation of multiple power generation units based on virtual synchronous generator(VSG) control when providing inertial support for the system.A control strategy is proposed to flexibly adjust the damping coefficient and virtual inertia in each VSG unit.Firstly, the damping coefficient in each VSG unit is flexibly adjusted. The damping coefficient is dynamically changed with the frequency offset value of the system to stabilize the frequency modulation process.Secondly, according to the state of charge(SOC) of the energy storage, the virtual inertia in each unit is "centralized adjusted, coordinated distributed".By monitoring the difference of the SOC of each energy storage device, and combining its charging and discharging state, the reasonable distribution of virtual inertia among each unit is realized. This effectively reduces the difference in the state of charge of each energy storage device, and maintains the safe operation of each VSG unit. Finally, an AC system with multiple VSG units is built in the RT-LAB real-time simulation system to verify the effectiveness of the proposed strategy.
