Research on MMC Sub-module Model Considering Influence of Driving Parameters

  • 摘要: 为了研究驱动参数对模块化多电平换流器(module multilevel converter, MMC)正常工作时的电磁暂态过程及电磁骚扰特性的影响,建立了适用于系统级研究的MMC子模块暂态模型。模型采用机理推导、电气等效的方法,反映了驱动参数对电压电流变化率的影响并模拟了电压电流过冲等电磁暂态特性。通过与实际MMC子模块双脉冲测试对比,验证了模型的有效性。此外,通过机理推导和仿真分析,得出了驱动电阻RG、栅极电感LG和发射极电感LE对电磁骚扰源的影响规律,有利于进一步将模型应用于柔性直流输电系统仿真,评估实际换流器的电磁骚扰水平。

     

    Abstract: In order to study the influence of driving parameters on the electromagnetic transient process and electromagnetic disturbance characteristics of the Module Multilevel Converter(MMC) in normal operation, a sub-module transient model of MMC was established. By means of mechanism derivation and electrical equivalence, the model reflects the influence of driving parameters on the rate of change of voltage and current and simulates the transient characteristics of voltage and current overshoot. The validity of the model was verified by comparing with the actual MMC sub-module double pulse test. In addition, the influence law of driving resistance RG, gate inductor LG and emitter inductor LE on electromagnetic disturbance source was obtained through mechanism derivation and simulation analysis, which is beneficial to further apply the model to the simulation of flexible DC transmission system and evaluate the electromagnetic disturbance level of the actual converter.
