一种适用于少子模块MMC全电平模式混合调制策略
An Equivalent Level Modulation Strategy for MMC with Small Quantities of Submodules in DC Distribution Grid

摘要: 模块化多电平换流器(Modular multilevel converter, MMC)应用于直流配电网时因现有调制策略限制,无法兼顾电压质量与运行损耗,阻碍了其在直流配电网方向的推广。提出了一种适用于直流配电网的少子模块MMC全电平(Full level, FL)模式下的最近电平PWM(NL-PWM)混合调制策略(简称"FL-NL-PWM")。该策略将NL-PWM扩展到全电平模式使得输出电平倍增,改善了电压质量,辅以桥臂电抗器和环流抑制策略,使得循环电流水平与基本电平模式无差,且不增加额外的损耗。基于MATLAB/Simulink的仿真结果结果表明,FL-NL-PWM具备电压质量高,控制简单,运行损耗低与可拓展的优势,为MMC推广至直流配电网提供了新的解决方案。Abstract: When modular multilevel converter(MMC) is applied in DC distribution network, due to the limitation of existing modulation strategy, it can not take into account of voltage quality and operation loss, which hinders its promotion in DC distribution network. This paper proposes a hybrid modulation strategy of nearest level modulation(NLM) and PWM(NL-PWM) for MMC in full level(FL) mode(FL-NL-PWM) in DC distribution network. In this strategy NL-PWM is extended to full level mode to make the output level double and improve the voltage quality. With the help of bridge arm reactor and circulating current suppression strategy, the circulating current level and that in the basic level mode are not different, and no additional loss is added. Results of the simulation based on MATLAB/Simulink show that FL-NL-PWM,with the advantages of high voltage quality, simple control, low operation loss and expansibility, provides a new solution for extending MMC to DC distribution network.
