Abstract:
As high-voltage circuit breakers approach their design life and their contact ablation becomes more and more serious, evaluating the electrical life of high-voltage circuit breakers can improve the utilization efficiency and ensure their operational reliability. According to the literature related to the electrical life of switchgear in recent years, the physical process of the end of electrical life of the circuit breaker is analyzed from the mathematical model of contact ablation. Then, the advantages and disadvantages of the current commonly-used assessment methods for circuit breaker electrical life are compared, and it is pointed out that the data model is the key to the accurate evaluation of the life of drive equipment, and the research on the electrical life of other types of switchgear electrical appliances is used to open up ideas for the reliability evaluation of high-voltage circuit breakers. Finally, the challenges and research directions of electrical life prediction of high-voltage circuit breakers are pointed out.
