Abstract:
With the increasing penetration of renewable energy and power electronic equipment, the frequency characteristics of power systems have been significantly changed. This paper analyzes the influence of renewable energy on the frequency space-time distribution characteristics of power systems. Firstly, a mathematical model of the frequency dynamic response of power systems with renewables is established. Meanwhile, the influencing factors of frequency space-time distribution and the mechanism of the renewable energy affecting this characteristic are analyzed. Next, the necessity and the quantitative indices for the evaluation of frequency distribution are briefly reviewed. Finally, based on the simulation results, the characteristics of frequency responses in different structure of grids are analyzed, and the influence of the access of renewable energy on the frequency space-time distribution characteristics is studied.
