Effect of APTES on Sedimentation and Properties of Epoxy Resin/Al2O3 Composites Fillers

  • 摘要: 微米Al2O3填料的沉降降低环氧复合材料的电气和机械性能,并制约大尺寸绝缘件性能的提升。为此开展了3—氨丙基三乙氧基硅烷(3—aminopropyltriethoxysilane,APTES)抑制环氧复合材料中微米Al2O3填料沉降的研究,采用密度法测量了不同APTES添加量的环氧复合材料中微米Al2O3填料的沉降特性,探究了APTES添加量对环氧复合材料电气和机械性能的影响。研究结果表明,APTES的加入可降低微米Al2O3的沉降,随着APTES添加量的增加,样品因沉降导致的密度差先减小后增大,其电气和机械性能均先增大后减小,且性能分散性先减小后增大;当APTES添加量为1.5%m(Al2O3)时,微米Al2O3填料的沉降最小,样品的拉伸强度、弯曲强度、击穿强度和沿面闪络电压最大,且性能分散性最小。该研究结果可为环氧浇注料的配方开发与环氧浇注件的制造提供参考。

     

    Abstract: The sedimentation of micron Al2O3 fillers can reduce the electrical and mechanical properties of epoxy composites and restrict the improvement of large size insulating parts. We carried out the research of 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane (APTES) inhibiting the sedimentation of micron Al2O3 fillers in epoxy composites. The density method was used to measure the sedimentation characteristics of micron Al2O3 fillers in epoxy composites with different APTES amount. The effect of APTES amount on the electrical and mechanical properties of epoxy composites was studied. The research results show that the addition of APTES can reduce the sedimentation rate of micron Al2O3. With the increase of the addition of APTES, the density difference of the sample due to sedimentation first decreases and then increases, its electrical and mechanical properties first increase and then decrease, and the dispersion of properties first decreases and then increases. When the amount of APTES added is 1.5%m(Al2O3), the sedimentation of micron Al2O3 fillers is the smallest, the tensile strength, bending strength, breakdown strength and flashover voltage of the sample are the largest. It is hoped that the research results will provide references for the formulation development of epoxy castables and the manufacture of epoxy castables.
