Algorithm Damage location of electric insulator string based on CS-RBF surface reconstruction

Abstract:In this paper, a damage location algorithm for electric insulator strings based on CS-RBF surface reconstruction is proposed for the detection of deteriorating insulators. First, surface optimization is applied to point cloud surface optimization based on surface reconstruction model. Then, projection statistics of insulator string point cloud data is carried out, and single chip extraction and numbering are performed. Finally, for each insulator, the damage is positioned and measured. The experimental results show that the method has a perfect consequent on severe broken and ordinary damaged insulators, and can be applied in actual deterioration of insulators.
