The Cause Analysis and Improvement of Misoperation Accident for 500kV AREVA Breaker

The breaker selectively, quickly, correctly and reliably interface with the protection device and automatic safety device is one of the important guarantees for ensuring the safe and stable operation of the power system when the power equipment fails. This paper put forward corresponding improvement and precaution through a comprehensive analysis on the cause of the 550kV AREVA breaker misoperation and burning out of opening coil in order to prevent the similar accident.
