Using laser cladding repair process to repair the 1.5MW wind turbine wear shaft

The laser cladding process for repairing a 1.5MW wind turbine shaft was introduced in this article. The shaft was damaged because of shaft diameter scratching and wear and cannot be used for installing the main bearing. The laser cladding method was used to repair this shaft. Rough machining and finish machining were carried out after laser cladding.And good repairing quality of the shaft was obtained finally used by the ultrasonic testing and hardness measurement.
