This study addresses the limitations of traditional three-level inverters
including high costs and significant power losses
particularly their elevated grid-connected current harmonic content under unbalanced grid voltages and frequency fluctuations. A frequency-adaptive proportional resonant(PR) control strategy is proposed for Type-F three-level grid-connected inverters. Experimental verification on the Type-F three-level inverter platform demonstrates that
compared with conventional quasi-PR control
the frequency-adaptive PR strategy significantly reduces the total harmonic distortion (THD) of grid-connected currents. Specifically
THD decreases by 0.35% and 0.45% under grid voltage imbalance and frequency fluctuation conditions
respectively. These results validate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed control strategy in enhancing grid-connected power quality.
