the IEA-15 MW floating wind turbine with the VolturnUS-S semi-submersible platform is adopted to study the interaction between the rotor aeroelastic response and the floating platform motion under real marine conditions. The differences in relevant characteristics under different inflow conditions were discussed. The results show that the motion of the floating platform under real marine conditions is affected by the combination of wave load and aerodynamic loads of the rotor
and the motion of the floating platform will cause significant fluctuation of the rotor loads. Considering the effect of the blade elastic deflections
the motion amplitude of the floating platform and the wind turbine loads decrease
while the turbulent inflow condition leads to the increase of the fluctuation amplitudes of the platform motions
