In response to the difficulties in site selection arising from restrictive land use policies and complex topographical constraints. Based on ArcGIS and the analytic hierarchical process(AHP)
the paper analyzes the current land use pattern by combining the topographic and geomorphological features of Yunnan mountainous areas
constructs an evaluation model on site selection for mountainous photovoltaic projects
and evaluates the site suitability of mountainous photovoltaic projects on the land in Huize County
Yunnan Province. The evaluation shows that the land suitability in Huize County is as follows: 7.52% of the total area is extremely suitable
16.86% is highly suitable
14.19% is moderately suitable
7.63% is lowly suitable and 53.80% is unsuitable
and the suitable areas as a whole show the characteristics of "more in the north
