Current power transmission limit analyses for AC/DC parallel transmission systems rarely consider multiple transient security and stability constraints
which tends to yield an overly optimistic feasible region. To address the difficulties in characterizing the power feasible region under multiple constraints and the ambiguity in power allocation in AC/DC parallel transmission systems
this paper proposes a power transmission limit analysis method for grid-forming wind farm clusters in AC/DC parallel transmission systems considering multiple stability constraints. Starting from the dynamic coupling mechanism of AC and DC transmission powers
this method comprehensively characterizes the AC/DC transmission power operating region under N-1 security constraints
transient rotor angle stability constraints
and frequency stability constraints. It then transforms the optimal power allocation problem into an analytical solution of the intersection points of the boundaries of the multi-constraint operating region
thereby enabling quantitative determination of power allocation. Simulation results show that the proposed method can effectively characterize the power operating region under multiple constraints and achieve optimal allocation of AC and DC powers.
