Impact of High Cableization Ratio on Stability of Multi-infeed DC Receiving-end Grids
With the continuous expansion of multi-infeed direct current (MIDC) transmission systems in China, the structural strength and stability of the receiving-end grids are facing new challenges.Focusing on the stability issues of receiving-end grids dominated by DC infeeds, this study innovatively proposes a quantitative definition of the cableization rate for receiving-end grids.Based on the theoretical framework of the multi-infeed short circuit ratio (MISCR),mathematical models for both single-infeed and multi-infeed short circuit ratios, considering the influence of the cableization rate, are systematically developed.Using the PSCAD/EMTDC simulation platform,a double-circuit MIDC transmission system model conforming to actual engineering characteristics was built. The impact mechanism of the cableization rate on the MISCR within three typical AC transmission line configurations was thoroughly analyzed, revealing the differential influence patterns of the cableization rate on MIDC system stability across different topological structures.Furthermore, the correlation characteristics between MIDC system parameters and the MISCR are discussed, and suggestions for cableization renovation are proposed. The research results provide theoretical and technical support for scientific decision-making in the renovation and expansion projects of cable lines in receiving-end grids, holding significant importance for enhancing the security and stability of multi-infeed direct current transmission systems.
