Optimization analysis of air duct swirl burner based on CFD
Based on the theory of computational fluid dynamics(CFD)
numerical simulation on a swirl burner in air duct is carried out. The flow field distribution and pollutant mass concentration of the burner with and without combustion air duct guiding plates are analyzed. The influence of different combustion temperatures on the pollutant mass concentration is investigated. Moreover
the simulation results are compared with the field data. The results show that
the simulation CO mass concentration is close to the experimental value under the same condition. The simulation result has engineering reference value. After installing the guiding plate
the flow field distribution in the air duct is improved dramatically
and the combustion efficiency increases significantly. The CO mass fraction in the exhaust gas drops by 18.83%. Comparison of mass concentrations of the combustion products at different temperatures shows that
by using the burner with guiding plate
the mass concentration of NO and CO in the exhaust gas reaches the optimum controllable range when the combustion temperature is 1 800~1 900 ℃.
