Battery energy storage system(BESS) is an important component of microgrid(MG)
and its protection during dispatching can effectively improve the economy and reliability of the system. Therefore
this paper fully considers the influence of charging and discharging rate and depth on BESS
and combines alternating direction method of multipliers(ADMM) and model predictive control(MPC) to propose a two-tier distributed scheduling strategy for interconnected microgrids system(IMS). Among them
the upper layer schedules each MG with the goal of minimizing the overall operating cost of the IMS
while the lower layer controls the output of distributed generation in each MG to minimize the cost of each MG itself. Compared with other distributed scheduling strategies
this strategy can protect BESS to the greatest extent
and the simplified distributed algorithm converges faster
the data transmission between networks is reduced by 30%
the computing time is less
and the communication burden is lower. Finally
the general MG cluster model is used to verify the rationality and effectiveness of the proposed scheduling strategy
and the result shows that the proposed scheduling strategy can make the less charged BESS get power supplement
reduce the charging and discharging times of high charge BESS
