Optimal design of adiabatic compressed air energy storage system based on heat storage medium and exhaust temperature
The conceptual design of compressed air energy storage system refers to the determination of the system structure and parameters with optimal efficiency based on specific boundary parameters such as gas storage pressure range
ambient pressure and temperature. The conventional equal compression expansion ratio design method does not consider exhaust loss
resulting in a low actual heat utilization rate and efficiency. Since the temperature of the high-temperature heat storage medium is one of the key factors that determine the number of compression stages and system efficiency
this article aims to reduce the exhaust loss and improve the system efficiency. It proposes a general compression expansion stage and parameter configuration scheme based on heat storage medium and exhaust temperature. In this design scheme
the influences of different design parameters on the compression stage and compression ratio distribution
expansion stage and expansion ratio distribution
system heat utilization rate
and system cycle efficiency of the energy storage system are analyzed. The results show that
this design scheme can achieve a quick comparison of system efficiency at different heat storage temperatures. Compared with the conventional equal pressure ratio design method
the system heat utilization and circulation efficiency of the proposed method are better
