Research and engineering practice for the effect of fly ash distribution on wear of flue gas cooler
In view of the wear problem of heat exchange tube bundle of the flue gas cooler at the outlet of air preheater of the coal-fired boiler at present
the computational fluid dynamics(CFD) software is used to simulate the gas-solid two-phase flow field and predict the wear. The influence of fly ash distribution on wear of the flue gas cooler is studied
and the corresponding solutions are put forward. Moreover
a coal-fired unit in China is taken as an example to carry out the numerical simulation before and after the reformation. The result shows that
before and after the reformation
the relative standard deviation of fly ash concentration on the left side decreased from 77.29% to 43.22% and that on the right side standard decreased from 69.45% to 47.32%. The maximum wear rate of the first row of pipes decreased from 1.51×10~(–6) kg/(m~2·s) to 6.98×10~(–7) kg/(m~2·s). There is a great correlation between the distribution of fly ash and the wear of flue gas cooler.
