Research on the relationship among electricity consumption

economic growth and urbanization

and the growth trend of electricity demand is grasped

which has great significance for both the power planning and even the strategic deployment of socio-economic development. Therefore

according to the relevant annual data from 1978 to 2019

the test of the relationship among urbanization

economic growth and electricity consumption is carried out by applying autoregressive distributed lag model(ARDL) cointegration test method and the Granger causality test method based on error correction model. The results show that

there are long-run equilibrium relationship among urbanization

economic growth and electricity consumption. No matter in the long term or the short term

economic growth and electricity consumption

economic growth and urbanization level are the Granger reasons for each other. But

there is only a one-way Granger reason from urbanization to electricity consumption. Finally

based on the ARDL model

the electricity consumption from 2020 to 2030 in China is predicted

and the policy implication are proposed according to the empirical results.
