Design and analysis of smoke plume control system in coal-fired power plant coupled with absorption heat pumps
Aiming at solving the problems of low temperature waste heat recovery and plume treatment in power plants
a new type of plume control system was designed on the basis of heat exchanger technology and absorption heat pump technology. In this system
the flue gas flowing through the air preheater is used as the heat source to drive the heat pump recover waste heat from flue gas
thus to heat the condensate in the condenser and the flue gas entering the chimney. Taking a 300 MW coal-fired unit as the research object
the heat transfer model for the plume treatment system was established
and the residual heat recovery and plume treatment effects of the system were analyzed. Moreover
the results were compared with that of the conventional flue gas condenser + flue gas heat transfer(MGGH) system. The results show that
when the coal-fired power plant applies absorption heat pump to deal with the smoke plume
the residual heat of the flue gas can be recovered
and the heat exchange temperature difference during condensation of the flue gas is also increased. On the premise of keeping the heat exchange amount constant
the heat exchange area required for flue gas condensation is reduced effectively.
