Effect of sludge-coal blending combustion on operation of coal-fired boiler
In order to study the influence of blending sludge on operation of coal-fired boilers
thermal calculation for a 330 MW coal-fired unit was carried out
on the basis of the energy conservation equation. At the load of 330 MW
280 MW
180 MW and 80 MW
the thermal efficiency
coal consumption
exhaust temperature and spray water flux were analyzed by blending sludge with moisture content of 82%
60%
35% and 10%. The results show that
when the moisture content in the co-fired sludge is kept constant
the influence of sludge blending on the boiler operation increases as the load decreases. When the unit load is kept constant
the effect of sludge blending on the boiler operation increases with the moisture content in sludge. The maximum efficiency reduction is 0.89 percentage point at 80 MW when blending the sludge with moisture content of 82%. The influence of sludge-coal co-combustion on the coal consumption of uncertain
which should be judged and calculated under specific situations.
