Investigation on co-pyrolysis characteristics of Changji oil shale and Zhundong coal and their gaseous co-pyrolysis products
Oil shale and coal resources are abundant in Xingjiang region. To study their co-pyrolysis characteristics
a self-built pyrolysis device in laboratory was used to conduct co-pyrolysis experiments for Changji oil shale
Manasi coal and their mixtures. Moreover
the gaseous products were analyzed by gas chromatography. The results show that
the oil yields of the mixtures with different blending ratios were higher than that of the oil shale and Manasi coal pyrolyzed alone
and the water yields were lower. This is due to the hydrogen supply of oil shale and the catalysis of alkali/alkaline metals in Manasi coal. When the mass proportion of Manasi coal in the mixture was 20%
the yield of pyrolysis oil was the highest
and the synergistic effect reached the most obvious. At the same temperatures
the concentration of H_2
CH_4
C_2H_4 and C_2H_6 in the pyrolysis gas of Manasi coal was higher than that of the oil shale
while the concentration of CO and CO_2 was lower. At low temperatures
the concentration of all the above gases of the Manasi coal was relatively small
while the oil shale's pyrolysis gas was dominated by CO_2. At high temperatures
the gaseous pyrolysis products of Manasi coal were mainly H_2 and CH_4
