Experimental research on combustion characteristics of pulverized coal particles in high temperature and low oxygen content environments
On the flat diffusion flame pulverized coal combustion test bench
the radiation spectrums of pulverized coal combustion were measured by the fiber optic spectrometer. Based on the Planck's law and two-color method
the change laws of the coal particle temperature and emissivity of pulverized coal combustion were studied at different hot coflow temperatures(1 400~1 800 K) and oxygen volume fractions(5%~20%). The experimental results show that
the flat diffusion flame burner can provide a stable and uniform hot coflow for the combustion of pulverized coal particles. As oxygen volume fraction in the hot coflow increases from 5% to 20%
the temperature of pulverized coal particle increases
and the average particle temperature increases by about 270 K. At the same oxygen volume fraction
when the hot coflow temperature increases from 1 400 K to 1 800 K
the average particle temperature of pulverized coal combustion increases by about 460 K
