A distinguishing method of scaling critical point of reverse osmosis inlet water and its application
A test device for determining the scaling critical point of reverse osmosis inlet water is proposed based on turbidimetric method. By using this device
the scaling risk of circulating sewage treated and reused by reverse osmosis in a power plant is evaluated. The performance of five domestically produced reverse osmosis scale inhibitors developed by another power plant project is evaluated. The results show that
the turbidimetric method can quickly and accurately determine scaling critical point and scaling tendency of reverse osmosis inlet water
which is convenient for power plants to adjust the water treatment process conditions timely. The turbidimetric method can also be used to quickly evaluate the scale inhibition performance of reverse osmosis scale inhibitors
and provide a basis for the selection of reverse osmosis scale inhibitors.
