Energy-saving analysis of variable frequency turbine generator units of auxiliary tracking power system
In the number 6 ultra-supercritical 680 MW coal-fired generation units of Huaneng Weihai Power Generation Co.
Ltd.
the high-speed steam turbine equipped with the reducer and variable frequency generator technology provides a stable working power for three boiler fans and then drives them operation with variable speed. Three boiler fans consist of total 6 units: 2 primary fans
2 blowers and 2 induced draft fans. This system greatly improves the operating efficiency of the three boiler fans under different load conditions. Since auxiliary tracking power source has been put into operation
the system is safe and reliable. Tests data show that the power consumption rate decreases by 1.52 percent point
and the power supply coal consumption declines to 7.1 g/(k W·h)
which realizes significant economic benefits. This integrated application of energy-saving technology can provide experience for coal-fired power plants that are planning or implementing this technology
