MILD combustion has become a hot research topic at home and abroad. However
there are few reports on evaluation of the MILD combustion. In order to evaluate whether the combustion reaches the MILD state
this paper summarizes three standards for evaluating the MILD combustion
and characteristic parameters of the MILD combustion are measured experimentally. It is found that the nonpremixed MILD combustion must meet the requirement of three standards at the same time through analysis on the law of the characteristic parameters
namely
the flame is barely visible or bluish in color
the temperature uniformity ratio ? is below 15% and the concentration of CO or NOx in the furnace is lower than 100×10-6. The results provide reference and basis for evaluation of non-premixed MILD combustion.
