ANALYSIS ABOUT THERMAL PERFORMANCE OF AMMONIA-BASED THERMOCHEMICAL ENERGY-STORING REACTOR
The ammonia-based thermochemical energy-storing method is an effective way for stable and continuous thermal power generation by using solar energy. The basic principle of ammonia-based thermochemical energy-storing reactor has been presented.Based on the said principle
a mathematical model of an exothermic reactor(ammonia sythesis reactor)has been established
the influence of reactor's inlet gas temperature and reactant's flow rate upon the ammonia synthesis reaction under condition of definite designed pressure and hydrogen nitrogen ratio being quantitatively analysed and discussed
giving out operating parameters for realizing exergy optimization and thermal energy maximization. The relationship between optimal exergy and maxinum thermal energy has been also compared.Result of simulation shows that the average temperature of catalytic bed layer in the reactor is an most important control parameter to realize optimal oxergy and maximum thermal energy
the maximum exergy output and maximum thermal energy output can be obtained under reaction temperature of 850 ℃ and 650 ℃ respectively.
