ANALYSIS OF COMBUSTION SYSTEM FOR THE Rijke- ZT TYPE PULSATING BOILER
Through experiment and analysis of the combustion system for Rijke - ZT type pulsating boiler
the conclusions obtained are as follows: (1) adopting method of varying cross - sectional area for tubes can reduce the entry / exit loss of acoustic energy of the tubes
and the ratio of length to dwmcter cut be reduced; (2)after shrinking of both ends
the ratio of length to diameter for Rijke- ZT type burners has been significantly reduced
the working frequency doesn’t satisfy the requirement of 1/2 wavelength tube any more
the positions of burner heated surface are different from those of the straight
tube Rijke pulsating burners; (3) using the transfer matrix method of one - dimensional sound wave propagation
the pulsating frequency of Rijke -
ZT type burner can be estimated
and the error to be with in 10% ; (4) so long as the pulsating frequency of the said burner is lower than the cut -off frequency in the tail tube
the one- dimensional plane stationary wave can only be formed in the tail tube
thereby
at the same time of ensuring the entire Rijke - ZT type pulsating burner to be in normal operation
bend with arbitrary angle of the tail tube can be realised.
