The PC burner with stablizing chamber is a direct fired burner applicable to corner-fired boilers. In the eary 1992this burner was first put into industrtal application on a 500MW unit of Haikou Power Plant （Hainan Province）. The testresults show that this burner has a larger operation range for cycling operating and stable combustion can be obtained with-out oil at the minimum load of 200MW（40% ）. Since the combustion is accelerated then

the boiler thermal efficiency canbe indreased a lot. This kind of burner is good not only for cycling operating and energy saving

but also for its easy opera-tion and less maintanance work.
