Bifurcation and chaos analysis of coal and rock damage under uniaxial compression based on CT values
A uniaxial compression test on coal and rock was conducted with CT scanning to monitor the damage process of coal and rock in real-time. A mathematical model has been established to analyze the experimental results on the basis of modern nonlinear theories of bifurcation and chaos. The results show that the CT values and stress can be described by Logistic equation. The process of coal and rock damage has the characteristics of bifurcation and chaos.
