Influence of Application of New Refractory Materials on Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction in Cement Industry
A new type of refractory(lightweight ultra-low thermal conductivity mullite brick) was taken as the research object
the emission reduction benefit and economic benefit of its application on the calcination zone of Φ 4 m×60 m cement rotary kiln were analyzed. The results show that compared with traditional refractory materials
after using lightweight ultra-low thermal conductivity mullite bricks in the calcination zone of cement rotary kiln
it can save about 1 336 t of standard coal and480 000 kW·h of electricity annually
directly or indirectly reduce about 3 920.96 t/a of carbon dioxide emissions
11.36 t/a of sulfur dioxide
and 9.89 t/a of nitrogen oxides
with obvious energy-saving and emission reduction effects; At the same time
it can also reduce the use of refractory materials
reduce the cylinder load
and thus extend the service life of the rotary kiln
with considerable comprehensive economic benefits. Therefore
the application of this new refractory conforms to the policy of "double carbon、 double reduction" in the cement industry
and is one of the effective ways to save energy and reduce emissions in the cement industry.
