Energy Consumption and Energy-Saving Renovation of Typical Data Centers in Guangzhou
In order to meet the requirements of the dual-carbon target and alleviate the energy consumption problem of a large number of data centers gathered in the core area of Guangzhou and Shenzhen
a typical data center in Guangzhou is selected as the research target. Analyze the applicable scope of existing energy-saving technologies
and quantitatively calculate the energy-saving effects of corresponding technologies. After adopting the three energy-saving transformation schemes of upgrading high-efficiency transformers
water-side natural cooling technology and energy visualization management system
the energy-saving effect of PUE reduction of 0.001 1
0.040 0 and 0.029 0 can be obtained respectively
and the overall PUE of the data center can be reduced from 1.45 to 1.38. Considering the expected investment and energy-saving effect
both the water-side natural cooling technology and the energy visualization management system scheme can achieve better energy-saving and consumption-reducing effect. The energy saving of the three energy-saving retrofit schemes all increase with the increase of the rack rate and load rate of the data center
which can reach a lower PUE value. The energy-saving retrofit analysis of this data center can provide a reference for the energy-saving retrofit of the data center in use.
