Study on the Characteristics of Temporal and Spatial Changes of Precipitation in Poyang Lake Basin
Based on the daily precipitation data from 81 weather stations in the Poyang Lake basin
the intensity-area-duration(IAD) method was used to study the temporal and spatial characteristics of precipitation in the Poyang Lake Basin under the background of climate change. The results showed that the total precipitation in the Poyang Lake basin showed a slight increase trend
but due to the obvious decrease in the number of rainy days
the precipitation intensity increased
the precipitation probability distribution curve shifted to the right
and the probability of heavy precipitation events increased. From the perspective of precipitation events
the average intensity of extreme heavy precipitation events in the Poyang Lake basin is
60.9 mm/d
and the increasing trend is not significant
but the frequency of heavy precipitation has increased significantly at an increase of 1.5 times/10 a
and the area affected by heavy precipitation has also continued to increase at 400 km
2
/year. The flood risk faced by the Poyang Lake basin as a whole continues to increase
and more effective disaster prevention and mitigation measures must be taken.
